Why a pottery party?
What makes clay away unique is that we can bring the clay to you, meaning our workshops can fit seamlessly into your event plan – be that in your office, at a bar, or even in your home.
If you have a smaller group and would prefer, we can host you in our bright and spacious pottery studio in Leyton.
These workshops offer an affordable and inclusive option for your event. Be that with a cup of tea at a corporate event, or with a glass of fizz at a hen party, providing an activity with a shared, creative goal is a great way to build connections in a fun and accessible way.
How it works
We’ll teach you how to make pots using the pinching technique which is totally mess-free! Make small bowls, trinket dishes, espresso cups, or whatever your heart (or the clay!) desires.
We can also tailor the session to you, so if there’s something specific you’d like to make e.g. candleholders for the hen’s wedding tables, then just let us know.
After the workshop we’ll take your masterpieces back to our studio to glaze and fire so that they’re fully functional and can be kept forever. Once finished they’ll be sent to one, UK address around 4-6 weeks after the event at no extra cost.

Payment and cancellation

A £200 deposit will be required to secure your booking.

The remaining balance will be payable 5 days before your event - that way you can wait to know the final numbers attending, and pay accordingly.

Cancel 5 days before your event to receive your deposit back in full.
